@Jeepster008 I got mine through Primary Arms, but I have to be honest, I've had some bad luck with those barrels. I mean, the shoot is great, and they're soft shooting, but I've been through two barrels in less than 5000 rounds due to the lands chipping away. I've been dealing with their warranty department for the last 3 months on my most recent barrel, and I've yet to get a determination on my barrel I sent in over a month ago or whether they'll replace it or not.

@Jeepster008 I suggest taking a look at Criterion. They make great barrels, imo, and you can get really good deals on them through ar15discounts.com. MSRP on my Criterion Core 12.5 barrel is $329.99. I got it from ar15discounts for $266.47.

@@airborneivan Thanks for the tip. I'll check them out. I hear good things about the Criterion Core barrels. I've have a Criterion barrel on my match M1 Garand and it shoots well.

I just saw the email from Global Ordnance. They look good. Hopefully, this the last time they'll be mag issues. They definitely jumped in price.

@mrguiltyfool that's true. I try to be as practical as possible, and I look at everything from a prepared civilian perspective, but you know how it is. A lot of people only value the opinions of former Operators or battle hardened vets.

@sandymitchell8182 I appreciate that. Same here, I like what they're doing for the 2A, but their QC needs to be addressed. With the Sabre line, they're using really good components. I don't think anything on that rifle is made by them. Unless you get the non CHF variant. Then, the barrel is produced by them. Simple things like checking torque specs, adding a dimple, and some loctite elevated this rifle. Things that take very little time and effort made the biggest difference. I expect issues from their Freedom line but not the Sabre line that's being push as their upper tier and claimed to be aimed at "duty" use.

@@airborneivan how smooth is the criterion recoil wise, basically the same? And any experience with BRT barrels?

@Dexter-nw2fe the recoil is nice, and the recoil impulse is pretty soft. I've got mine set up with a Vltor A5 buffer tube, A5-0 buffer, and Sprinco Green spring. Unfortunately, I have zero experience with BRT barrels. I was actually gonna buy one of their barrels, but they were out of stock, so I went with Criterion.

@@henrychristopher9131 I have not, but I'd love to try it. AAC is intriguing because of the price to performance. At least for the 77gr loads I've shot from them.

@@85November I used to live at the range. I'd be there every weekend. Ever since covid, once or twice a month, if I'm lucky.

@LovesM855A1 I agree, but you could take just about any barrel and make it shoot good with hand loads. Shooting a wide variety of off the shelf ammo and seeing that consistency is key for me and more of an accurate representation. Also, we have to factor in the shooter. I have my good days and bad days. I'll have to check out that Lothar Walther barrel.

@@doz03 it's just two allen bolts and a plate on the back side. It's simple to remove.

@@airborneivan Ok! I took the 2 bolts out. Pulled as hard as a could twist etc etc. can’t get it off for anything. But thanks!

​@doz03 did you pull the plate out the right side? That plat is what those bolts screw into and they index on the barrel nut. If you don't pull that plate out, the handguard won't come off.

@americankulak4596 I don't, but I can weigh it later, as I have it set up, and let you know what it currently weighs with an LPVO, BUIS, light, and sling.

@americankulak4596 just weighed it. With everything attached and an empty mag, it's 8 lbs 10.9 oz. Naked with no mag is 6 lbs 4 oz.

That's awesome. So far, I really like their products. I love the Pathfinder Chest Rig. The Recon PC is very comfortable, and I really like their Elastic Mag Pouches. I want to get my hands on their Elite Ops Helmet Cargo Pack. Looks like it would make a great day pack, and I like the ability to stow your helmet on the outside of the pack.

@@airborneivan the helmet back is okay. I have one and I do like it. Has a lot of compartments for storage. The recon PC is one of my favorites for sure. Plus the chest rig makes it adaptable

@Colt-p5v that's why I have both. I primarily run the chest rig, but being able to take that placard and put it on the Recon Plate Carrier is super convenient. I like having that system in place.

@@airborneivan then adding a back panel is great for plusing up any load out. A lot of their stuff is compatible with Crye kit

@Colt-p5v I've noticed. I'm interested in back panels but not quite sure how effective they'd be for a civilian, non proffesional role.

@christophnegron2827 yeah. I've noticed it can bloom pretty bad, depending on the setting and external lighting conditions. The biggest thing is the halo on the outer edge of the glass. It's not as bad as some have made it out to be, but just like the bloom issue, it's dependent on the setting and external lighting conditions. We need to link up for sure.

@TheJoeml85 the cummerbund is molle compatible, so you could run side plates if you find compatible pouches.

@HatsuneM1ku01 I didn't have any issues. I got to about 1200 rds, maybe a hair over. There are no issues to speak of, but it's PSA, and their QC is hit and miss. Maybe I got lucky. I sold the rifle when I was buying my house, so I won't be able to tell beyond the 1200 rds.

@nabby119 I don't have any play Luke that. The only thing I had were the screws for the throw lever came loose. I'd check those and make sure that throw lever isn't the problem. Under the throw lever is a separate piece that is secured to the mag ring via set screws. That's what I found loose.

@slavikarlov nice. I have a K9 12.5 as well. I really like that barrel. I've got over 1000 rounds on that one, and it's holding up just fine. Definitely accurate.

@danielroney2535 overall length is over 26" so it's legal. You can look it up on the ATF's website.

I don't, but I'm planning on doing a review on the Perst 4 that I have. I just need to figure out a better way to film at night.

What? Did I offend your favorite gun company??? Well, I wasn't sitting during the review, and there's no need to be concerned. That upper respiratory infection is gone.

I get it. I know their barrels are made by F.J. Feddersen so I don't know what their fulfilments process is like. I know I will run into another issue with my replacement barrel and working with CS to address it. I'll be making a video on that as well.
